Beauty Africa | Part 1: The Conference & Exhibition in Pictures

Last week Beauty Africa Conference & Exhibition took place here in Lagos and yours truly was there front and centre. The plan was to share my experience with you right after but unfortunately my health and work schedule made that impossible. Another reason why this is coming late is because as you may have guessed from the title of this post I intend to share more than just pictures from the expo with you, so watch this space...

Beauty Africa 3 day conference and exhibition was packed full of talks, demos and more. I was there for most of the 1st and 3rd days of the expo and I'm really glad I did. As soon as I saw the speakers they had lined up, I made a note to attend as many of the talks and lectures as my work schedule would allow. It was am amazing event and if you were not there you missed out on a ton! The event is set to be an annual foxyure on our calendars so be sure to catch the next one.

Here is a look at my experience at the show...

Work| Chika Emmanuel for Savvy & Chic Hair & Beauty Hub Vol 3

A couple of months ago I got a call from Dabs of Savvy & Chic Hair & Beauty Hub to do makeup for her next cover. I was thrilled, not only to work with Dabs (again) but to work with Chika Emmanuel; winner of Elite Model Look (2010). I've wanted to work with Chika for years...literarily.

For this shoot we went for 2 different looks; a twiggy inspired mode look & a bright colourful look. Here are some pics of Chika by me...
And the award for the best before picture goes to...LOL I swear Chika is incapable of  taking a bad picture

Bright Colourful look inspired by Irishcel Puello (@irisbeilin)

And by the amazing Emmanuel Oyeleke

I love the way they turned out
For more pictures from the shoot please pick up a copy of the magazine from a magazine vendor near you. This issue also features an article on brow threading by yours truly :-)
