Ankara Inspired Makeup Look Series #1 Ebele in Red & Yellow.

New Series Alert!!!
Inspired by the beautiful That Igbo Chick (if you do not know her stop what you are doing right now and click the link LOL) I will be doing a few makeup looks inspired by gorgeous African fabrics known here in Nigeria as "ankara".

First up is Ebele in a classic red & yellow design. For the 1st look in this series I kept her look simple: enhanced features with softly defined eyes, paired with a bold red lip.

FOTD | Mocha in the Dessert Neutral Makeup Look

Hey Ladies,

So today is the day I should post this weeks video. However as I have only very recently emerged from a "malaria coma" and gone back to work, editing a brand new video was just not possible this week. I don't fall sick often but about once a year I get malaria and this time hit hard particularly. I had a constant banging headache, fever, my favourite foods tasted like sand saw dust and I was so weak I could fall asleep on the side of the road if need be.

I feel 100 times better now thanks to my awesome doc/client/friend/sister Ada and amazing family and friends. I'm back to normal not, back to works so I promise to be back with a new video tutorial next week Friday...by His grace.

But until then, here is todays Face Of The Day...

Review | Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Contour Palette*

Disclaimer:
This post contains a product that is on sale at Stella's Addiction boutique

Shade & Light Eye Contour Palette* comes in a black cardboard palette branded in black and gold. The palette is made of cardboard (as far as I can see) but doesn't have that light weight cheap feel to it AT ALL. It feel slightly heavy in that quality makeup kind of way (hope that makes sense). Inside is a big mirror set in  a cardboard pattern cut out and 12 eye shadows.

NOTD & Review: Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Color in Sugar Fix

I LOVE nail colour!!!
So I know its blue and not everyone will feel the same way but I absolutely loved this shade of polish. I got it from target in May and have worn it about 3 times since!
In the pictures above I'm wearing 2 coats of "Sugar Fix"  miracle gel polish from Sally Hansen, no base coat required. Over the two coats of colour I have one one coat of the top coat.

This is the Sally Hansen version of "nail-polish-that-shines-like gel-but-isn't". And I really like it. No lamp or base coat is needed, just the nail colour and top coat.
It doesn't shine as much as gel nail polish would but as you can see in the pictures above (taken 2 days after application) they definitely have more shine than a regular top coat and the shine lasts too. Plus I love this shade! Sugar Fix is so pretty! I'm not mad at Sally at all LOL.

Would you rock this shade? What is your favourite blue nail polish?
