WORK | Smoking Hot Buchi

August 2nd 2014

Buchi came in on her way to a traditional wedding. For her all white asoebi outfit she wanted a matte black smokey eye and we gave her just that.  We smoked out her eyes in matte black and enhanced her facial features with some bronzer and shimmer for a dewy healthy look.

FOTD: Jazz Singer & Just Black

I haven't done one of these in a while because I haven't been wearing that much makeup. I know, totally unMUA-like, I'm about to be kicked out of the MUA cool club LOL. You see when work is as crazy as it has been lately I wake up with my to-do list flashing in my head, so I'm up and out he door ASAP. This coupled with the fact that I don't like to rush my makeup equals to No Makeup On Stella LOL.

Then I look at my makeup collection, especially the new items I am yet to "play" with and my fingers start to itch... Long story short: I love makeup, love playing in it, wearing it etc. I here by promise to "play" in my makeup more and share the results of my play time with you ;-) Watch this space.

Today's look is a pretty simple one. To complement my new purple braids I decided to set off the look with a shimmery rust eye shadow shade, this one is Jazz Singer from Magnolia Makeup*

Work: Sayida in Mint Chocolate Glam

Happy Eid-el Fitri Everyone!!!

Meet Sayida, my dear friend and one of the best things about my NYSC year. While she was in town a few weeks ago we decided to do some Arab inspired makeup looks. Her Fulani features were an absolute delight to work with. This is the 1st of 2 looks we choose to create so watch out for the 2nd one

Sayida's first look is inspired by the mint green and brown leopard print scarf she's wearing.

Hey guys,

Last week I signed up as an official blogger for the upcoming Beauty Africa Exhibition & Congress taking in October here in Lagos. In the next couple of months leading up to the event, I will be sharing updates with you so watch this space to be kept in the know.

Beauty Africa Exhibition & Congress is organised by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions (the world's leading exhibition organisers) they are responsible for other successful international shows like Beyond BeautyThe Bride Show and China Beauty. I'm especially excited because I have attended the Beyond Beauty Paris a couple of times and they were great so I cant wait ti see this one.

It's happening at Eko International Convention & Exhibition Center, Lagos, Nigeria from the 7-9 October 2014 and admission is FREE.

Beauty Africa is bringing a great panel of both local and international beauty professionals for talks and workshops on how to improve your skill and succeed business. They promise to create a platform for companies to interact with beauty professionals as well as industry leading dealers and distributors. It will also provide a mix of business networking and trade opportunities along with high quality workshops designed to assist in building the African industrial capacity in the sector.
