NOTD | Blue Marble Please Nail Art

I haven't done a NOTD post here in a while, so here is a brand new one just for you ;-)
Recently I have been feeding my love for long nails, which I try to suppress because I work with my hands but every now and again I let go. This is exactly what happened last week. Regardless of the length f my nails I always keep my hands (and nails) clean and function perfectly with them.

I chose shades of blue and when my nail tech, IK at QM Lounge suggested I try a marble design I said sure...glad I did because I love how it came out.

In the pictures above I'm wearing 2 coats of "Butler Please" Essie polish on all fingers but my ring finger, on my ring finger I'm wearing an unidentified light blue polish from Orly (the writing on the tag wasn't clear, sorry) and for the marble design on my inez finger I'm wearing a mix of both polishes applied over each other and swirled around to form the marble design.

I loved the results! I'm really particular about my nails and end up doing them myself often to get them just right. However with my crazy schedule it isn't always possible so more often than not these days I end up in QM lounge to get my nails and pedis done. Glad I finally found a place with a good ambiance where I can get my particular needs met :-)

This set was done at QM Lounge, 13 Emma Abimbola Street (Fola Osibo), Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Would you rock blue nails?

Introducing the Elizabeth Arden Foundation Range

In my last post about the launch of Elizabeth Arden in Nigeria, I promised to bring you more info on their foundation range. So here is an excerpt from the press release, I will post a full review after I have had a chance to use the foundations on myself.

Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude Makeup SPF 15
A lightweight, breathable foundation that imparts a luminous, “second-skin” look that lasts all day. Instantly, the appearance of pores, discolorations and imperfections are diminished Featuring innovative Hydro-pigment technology, the supremely blendable and buildable formula imparts a flexible veil that moisturizes skin for 24 hours.

Shade Range: Bisque, Cashew, Toasty Beige, Caramel, Warm Cappuccino, Warm Mahogany, Cocoa, Sienna, Spice, Chestnut.

FLAWLESS FINISH SPONGE-ON CREAM MAKEUP
A creamy texture that glides effortlessly over skin for a flawless, radiant finish. Infused with micronized diamond powder, this light-reflecting foundation manipulates and scatters light to diffuse the look of imperfections. This moisturizing formula offers medium to full coverage that feels comfortable and lasts all day.

Shade Range: Toasty Beige, Cocoa, Cognac, Chestnut, Deep Amber, Mahogany, Spice, Toffee, Toast

Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector
A luxuriously lightweight concealer pen erases signs of fatigue and restores skin to a radiant and rested glow. The buildable, light-to-medium coverage formula is rich with hydrators, antioxidants and reflective pigments that help correct problematic areas and highlight the contours of the face. The easily blendable formula works with all skin types and is suitable for the delicate skin around the eyes.

Elizabeth Arden launches In Nigeria

Last Saturday I slipped out of the studio to attend the Elizabeth Arden media event at Talindos Steak House and I'm so glad I did. My crazy schedule makes it hard to attend such events but this weekend I made it happen. The media event was one of many that held over the weekend to officially launch Elizabeth Arden in Nigeria.
It all started with an invitation
Beauty Bloggers in the building L-R Yewande of She loves the finer things, Adaku of Third World Profashional, Yours Truly & Ez of Beauty in Lagos
We  were introduced to the Elizabeth Arden’s skincare range which includes product lines for every need: PREVAGE®(Environmental Protection), Ceramide (Youth Restoring), Skin Illuminating (Skin Brightening Solutions), Visible Difference (Healthy Skin Essentials) and the Eight Hour (Miracle Moisturizers) as well as their range of foundations (more on theses soon): Flawless Finish Perfectly Nude Makeup SPF 15, Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector and Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup.

You can now find a full range of Elizabeth Arden skin care products and foundations at select Montagne place stores in the country.
  • Montaigne Place, Ikeja City Mall, Lagos
  • Montaigne Place, MMA2 Domestic Airport Airside 2, Lagos
  • Montaigne Place, Polo Park Mall, Enugu
I played around with the samples at the event; I haven't tried them on (my face) yet but the cream foundation felt smooth as butter, blended like a dream and came in elegant gold compacts... I look forward to trying these on.

In my goodie bag...

I'll dig in and tell you all about it ;-)

Have you tried any Elizabeth Arden products? Which are your favorites?
