Nkem's Traditional Wedding

Last weekend I was at Ihiala in Anambra state for Nkem's traditional wedding.  Its was an amazing wedding, everything was beautiful and Nkem and her family were were the best!

For her traditional wedding look, Nkem didn't want the usual array of bright colours, instead she asked for a "bronzy look" so bronzy is what we did and she loved it.

Traditional Bridal Inspiration Look 1: Gold, Red & Coral

Happy new Month!!!

I know you have probably heard that a hundred times today but for some reason I'm really excited to see December!

This week I will be sharing with you some gorgeous photos from a recent Traditional Bridal inspiration shoot I did with some amazing vendors. First up is my beautiful dark model Biola. I chose Abiola specifically for her rich chocolate skin tone. In this first look I paired unique coral beads with a gold gele (head wrap) and red wrapper, for her makeup I went for sparky gold cut crease and bright red lips.

Take a look behind the scenes...

Zaron Long Wear Gel Eyeliner | Review & Swatches

Last month, at the Beauty Africa Conference, I was given Zaron gel eye liners for review. Since then I have gotten quite some use out of them and so far I'm liking them :-)
Jean, Jade and Jazz

Zaron long wear gel eyeliners come in 3 shades; jazz (black), Jean (blue) and Jade (green with a hint of blue and shimmer).

They come in a clear small glass-like pot very similar to the Bobby Brown long wear gel liner pots. The major difference here is that these are not glass but a glass-like plastic or acrylic.
Jean, Jade & Jazz
All three shades are very pigmented as I'm sure you noticed in the swatches above. The texture is a cross between liquid and gel; thicker than liquid yet thinner than your average gel liner. The texture makes for a smooth application that glides on effortlessly. Now freshly applied they look glossy and are not budge proof,  so if you rub at them they will come right off. Once dry however its a totally different story, they dry to a matte finish and stay put for the day. They are not water proof though so if you wet them and rub they will come off. I also noticed that by the end of the day I had lost some intensity on my waterline, not all the colour was gone, it just wasn't as intense as with my initial application.

These beauties retail for N1,150 for 3g and are available from Zaron outlets and distributors nationwide.

Bottom line
You won't regret these! Great pigmentation and for just over N1,000 they are definitely worth it. I like that the texture stays creamy and can be cleaned so you can correct mistakes before they dry unlike my all-time favourite gel liner from Ingot that can be a pain to clean of.

Have you tries these? Let us now what you think
