Stella's Wishlist January 2011

My birthday is right around the corner so I figured this is as good a time as any to get wishing :D. I posted my first wish-list at Christmas, I am now updating that list since I now want more things and have bought something off the first list already (more on that later ;)

Ok without any further ado, Stella's Wishlist January 2011...

Louis Vuitton's Artsy MM bag in Orage

Spacious, sophisticated and chic, the Artsy MM is a timeless tote bag. In sumptuous embossed Monogram Empreinte leather, a luxuriously ornate handle and rich golden brass pieces create a refined look. Size (LxHxD): 18.1" x 12.6" x 9.4"
I love big bags and have been lusting over LV's since I moved to Paris. I think this one is cute, class and this color will be easy to wear.

The Swarovski Chic Mocca Ring

Chic, indeed! This gold-plated ring shines with crystals that reflect shades of gold, mocca, silver and black. Set with the Pointiage® technique, the ring is a pure fashion statement! Play with the reflections as you twirl the gleaming ring on your finger.
If you know me, you would no that I feel bare without at least 3 rings on. This is a really beautiful ring so no surprise here.
A Spa Weekend Getaway.
I could go on here with details on location, treatments etc but in truth any old spa get away will do.
I wanted to go on one after I finished my dissertation but that coincided with the Christmas holidays so I just went home. After graduation though, I would love to get away and treat myself for a few days **dreamy eyes**
No description necessary ;-)

A repeat from my last list for obvious reasons.
"A flawless new collection for artists on the go who value organization, style, and perfection. What more could you ask for? Protect and organize the tools of your trade and travel in style with our new ZÜCA Artist Collection, - tailored for the artist in you!"

    Christian Louboutin's Pigalle Pumps

"Tower over all the fashionista wannabes in these sky-high sexy pumps"

Not that I need shoes to tower over most ;-) but hey, these are some sexy shoes.

MakeUp Forever Academy's 3 Month Beauty-Fashion and Visagism course.

"The MAKE UP FOREVER ACADEMY is the Harvard of make up"
                                                                                     Nicolas Cordier

    Enough said!

There you have it, all the things I wish i had :-), who knows maybe I'll get some of them for my birthday. Note to self: must share this blog post with my family and friends ;-)

    London IMATS 2011

    It's here!!!

    Last year...

Can you tell I'm excited? Well I am. The London IMATS will start tomorrow the 29th of January, and I am going to be there. I attended the show last year and can't wait for this year.

The exhibiting brands I'm looking forward to seeing include the usual suspects; MAC Pro, Inlgot, Crown brush, Make up forever, OCC, Eve Pearl, as well as Sleek make up (who were to attend last year but pulled out in the last minute), NYX , Alcone, and tons more. I could continue this list for about 20 lines and still not be done.

    I'm also looking forward to some of the seminars;
    • The guru's summit with  EnKorePixiwooPursebuzz and Wayne Goss.
    •  EVE PEARL: The Princess Bride: Turn Every Bride into a Princess
    • TERRY BARBER of MAC: Couture Beauty
    •  DANY SANZ co-founder of Make Up Forever: Make Up For Ever in High Def
    •  KEVIN JAMES BENNETT: Prep and Prime: Essential Steps to Beautiful Make-up
The seminars are held on a first come first serve basis, so lets hope I get into all of these and more. If you are going to be at the show send me a message or say Hi when you see me. Tomorrow is going to be fun! I'm off to write my list.

    Tah tah mes belles,

Stella's 2011 Golden Globes Red Carpet Favorites

I know this is late but better late than never right ;-). There were a lot of gorgeous gowns on the red carpet this year and only a few disasters. It wasn't easy to pick my favorites, but I succeeded. Here are my 2011favorite Golden Globes red carpet outfits.

    Me Likey!

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad, a white spaghetti strap form fitting number paired with a studded see through cape
Anne  Hatherway in Giorgio Armani Privé, a backless bronze long sleeve gown. Love it!

Eva Longoria in Zac Posen, a black fish tail gown.

Sofia Vergara Scarlet Vera Wang, a form flattering red number. When I grow up, I want a body just like her's **dreamy eyes**

Lea Michele in Oscar de la Renta, a salmon one shoulder gown with ruffles down the side.

Emma Stone in Calvin Klein Collection, a backless round neck peachy-pink number. It kind of looks like a t-shirt in the front but I love that the back is so sexy in contrast.

Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen, a black on shoulder number with some skin tone detail down the side. I am totally loving the "new" Kelly.

Olivia Wilde in Marchesa, a sparkly full-skirted gown. I like the way the pewter sparkle fades away from the top to the bottom.

Heather Morris in Lorena Sarbu, a gold beaded gown. Simple works too.

Thats it ladies, do you agree with my list? Is there someone on it you think doesn't make the cut? Or have I overlooked one of your favorites? Let me know...

    I'm back!

    Thank you...
First and foremost I need to thank you all for your comments, messages, emails and prayers. It may seem little to you but I am honestly overwhelmed by the support I have received from you, especially as I am currently away from the rest of my family. I really appreciate it all.

In the interest of staying busy, here I am :-) I have a number of pending posts, including product reviews I have been meaning to share for months. Thanks for bearing with me.

    Hello my dears,

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. A few days after my last post, there was a death in my family and I have been a little preoccupied since.

People tell me keeping busy is a good way to cope, so I should be back soon.

    RIP Daddy, Love you loads.
