NOTD: Professionails No.243 Taup-ey Bronze

This is my first time wearing nail polish from Professionails and I must say I am loving it!

Verdict:
In the pictures above I'm wearing Professionalis (or Pronails) Nail Polish in No.243. It's a taupe shade with  a beautiful bronze shimmer to it. Love it. It's a very simple neutral shade but the bronze shimmer gives it the extra mpfh! that stops it from being plain.
The nail polish spreads nice and evenly. I'm wearing 2 coats but you get good cover even with just 1.
I got this at the "41ème Congrès International d'Esthétique Appliqué" here in Paris and there they cost 6.12Euros for 15ml, they might retail for a little more. They come in square shaped bottles, regular sized brushes and tons of shades.

I had to exercise great restraint to walk away with just 3 of their polishes. So far I am loving these I'll probably get more soon ;-)

Product Review: Proactiv 3 Step Solution

Stella's Skin Care Regimen
I have been asked to share my skin care regimen so here it is...

First of all @Lilly Johnson bless your soul for saying I have nice skin. However I have a confession to make.
The truth is that I actually have adult acne which I manage to control with the Proactiv Solution. So if my skin looks good in my pictures it a combined effort and probably has a bit to do with my makeup #trueconfession.

Introducing Proactiv 3 Step Acne Solution.

They say...
Step 1: Renew
This medicated Renewing Cleanser is made with new, exclusive micro-crystal benzoyl peroxide — featuring smaller, finer particles designed to quickly penetrate pores to start killing acne-causing bacteria on contact. Tiny exfoliating beads gently remove dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells to help keep pores from clogging.
Step 2: Revitalize
This refreshing, alcohol-free toner helps remove impurities and excess oil so your skin looks and feels clean, soft and refreshed -- not tight and dried out. Soothing botanical agents gently balance your skin tone.
Step 3: Repair
The repairing treatment is a feather-light medicated lotion that gets deep into clogged pores faster but is designed to be gentler on the skin. It's an oil-free formula that's safe for your entire face.
Refining Mask
The rich, deep cleansing mask uses sulfur, a proven acne-fighting ingredient that reaches deep into the pores where blemishes begin. It gently unplugs pores, heals existing blemishes, pampers inflamed skin and softens and refines the skin texture.
The 3 steps are for use twice a day while the mask is to be use 2-3 times a week.

Verdict:
I have had acne since I was about 13 so as you can image I have tried many different treatments. This is the only one that works for me. A few things you need to keep in mind though...
This is a PREVENTIVE system, so if you stop using it after it start working, the acne will come right back! Also it is combination treatment; you need to use all three products (cleanser, toner and lotion) together for results.  The mask is complementary to the 3 steps; it's not compulsory but helps the 3 steps. The mask can also be used as an "on the spot" treatment (put on pimples over night)  to speed up the healing process.
On a different note, the face cleanser and lotion contain Benzoyl Peroxide which may discolor fabrics so after applying you should wash your hands.

N.B If you set up an account with Proactiv please keep track of your stock. They tend to send you more than you need so suspend your account (like I have now done) if you end up with too much products or reset the regularity of the deliveries to suit your pace. It would be a shame if you pay for products that expire before you get the chance to use them.

I hope this helps,

Step 2: S3 nail art plate and Dark purple nail color both from Konad

Not my most creative work but I like it anyway. I promise to be more "artsy" next time :-)

Product Review: L'Oréal Paris Infallible Color Eye Shadow

I knew I was going to buy these as soon as I saw its ad in last months french Glamour. The shades looked so vibrant plus the promise of 24hr wear couldn't hurt right?

They say...

Make a lasting impression without batting an eye.
Infallible Eyeshadow contain ultra concentrated colour pigments, for an intense colour finish. Additional binders (oils) coat and magnify the colour pigments revealing beautiful shimmer and maximized colour. The colour adheres to the eyelid as durably and comfortably as a second skin and lasts for up to 24hrs.
With a formulation that lies between the comfort of a cream and the ease of application of a powder, infallible eyeshadow melts gently from the fingertips to the eye lid on application. The result is a luxurious, velvety texture...
It comes in about 9 shades, I got Purple Obsession and All Night Blue.

Purple Obsession, All Night Blue and both mixed.

Verdict:
First of all I have to say I am loving the packaging. It's really...slick and innovative. Apart from the obvious beauty of the clear base and silver ring, it also comes with a little plastic conserver to prevent the pigment from getting everywhere (as most loose pigments tend to).
The product has a unique texture, a cross between powder and cream and as a result, their long lasting claim holds stands. I don't know about 24 hours (I don't normally wear eye shadow that long...) but I got over 12 hours of creaseless wear with this (not primer or base) :-)
I got mine from my local Carrefour supermarket, it retails for a little less than 8Euros in France for 3.5g a good deal if you ask me.

NOTD: My Sunshine Stilettos

In honor of the lovely weather, I'm taking a walk on the brighter side of life. "My Sunshine" is a yellow orange shade from the NYX.

Photobucket

Verdict:
The nail polish is sheer but spread evenly. I had to apply 3 coats to get the cover you see in my pictures and even then I can still see patches when I hold my nails up to light. Every thing else is pretty basic; normal brush, 12ml of product. I got this for 5 pounds at the at the IMATS London.
This product is best suited for you if you prefer sheer coverage.
