Product Review: Real Techniques Core Collection

Saturday, December 15, 2012

Earlier in the year, I set out to complete my professional brush set. One of my 1st ports of call was Real Techniques. The brushes are designed by Samantha Chapman of Pixiwoo and made exclusively with synthetic fibres. In the posts to follow I will be reviewing the Real Techniques brushes (I own) one after the other.
Up first is the Core collection…

Product The Real techniques  core collection is a set of 4 face brushes; a detailer brush, pointed foundation brush, buffering brush and a contour brush.
I  find the detailer brush too small for work on the face. I tend to use it more for applying cream eye products and as a lip brush. It's thin handle is also not the easiest for my big hands to handle.  The pointed tip works well for precise applications.
The pointed foundation brush is smaller than your average foundation brush but bigger than a traditional concealer brush. Still I use it to apply foundation and concealer particularly to highlight the face. It's pointed tip makes it ideal for reaching difficult areas like the corners of the nose.
The contour brush is a round tapered face brush. This one I use for its intended function; contouring the face with liquid, cream or powder. It's tapered tip makes it possible to apply products on small areas (using the tip and a light hand) or larger areas (with more pressure).
The buffering brush is without a doubt my favourite brush in this collection. I use it to apply liquid foundation, the round spray of bristles allows it to blend foundation as you apply it.

Price This collection retails for $18 and is available from many a wide selection of international retailers. Click here for a list of retailers. First I thought they were much too expensive for synthetic brushes  but now that I have used them, I'd say they are worth it.
Packaging The brushes are very attractive, with gold tone aluminium handles. Although the brushes are made 100% of synthetic fibres, some of them like the buffering and contouring brushes have been fashioned to look and act like natural fibres, making them soft to the touch and perfect for blending.
They come in a 2 in 1 case that can also be used as a stand (as seen in the 1st picture). I personally have no need for it but its a pretty cool feature. if like me you already have adequate storage for your brushes, you can use the case for eye and lip pencils…

Bottom-line. I'm happy with this purchase. I ordered mine from Cocktail Cosmetics and they delivered on time and in tact. The brushes work well and I am yet to see a stray bristle anywhere. The aluminium handles are also really pretty and I've gotten tons of complements from clients on how soft the brushes are. I'd say this set is good value for money,  however if they were sold individually I would probably only get the buffering and contour brushes because I get more use out of them.

    I have been using this system for some time now; I will be showing you how to make unlimited cash with your liberty reserve account and a perfect money account. I will try to make it as short as possible. But clear, just like every other business your interest and seriousness counts.

    "The reward for hard work is success".

    THIS IS HOW IT WORKS.

    1. open a liberty reserve account at www.libertyreserve.com ( this is free).

    2. Open a perfect money account at www.perfectmoney.com (this is free).

    3. Fund your liberty reserve account with a minimum of 11 USD, because of transaction charges, actually you needed a minimum of 10 USD.

    (Note: To fund or sell your liberty reserve, go to www.google.com to search for an e-currency exchanger close to you.)

    4. Go to www.softxchanger.com , and exchange 10 USD from your liberty reserve account to your perfect money account.

    1 LR------>1.28 PM, so 10 LR----> 12.80 PM.

    5. Go to www.superchange.ru or www.swapgold.com , exchange 12.80 Perfect money to 11.01liberty reserve.

    1 PM ----> 0.86 LR, so 12.80 PM--->11.01 LR. You have gain 1.01 USD.

    6. Repeat the exchange process from LR---->PM--->LR.

    You can always increase your capital, because the more money you exchange the faster u make your cash. I can make up to 257 USD per day. Doing up to 25 exchanges per hour. But there is also no harm in starting small.

    GOOD LUCK TO YOU.
